Belle Epoch finery - the Gilded Age (1890-1925), and didn't it just bring us the most opulent raised gold enameled dinnerware!  This set of 4 10 1/4" dinner plates is one such - a grouping made by Minton, England, specifically for luxury goods purveyor, Bailey,
Banks & Biddle, Philadelphia, PA, USA. Surviving very well, they'll thrill your guests or family. We're not doing much entertaining these days, but no sense in going without a little luxury now and then, so a small grouping of 4 might be just perfect. Or mix and match other similar raised gold sets at the same table. That's how we've used this set.  A white bone china with a broad bank of cream color, both encrusted and hand painted in raised gold enamel, they are luxuriant. Sold as the set of 4.

Very good to excellent condition for age and type, beautiful at table, and the gold is fully intact. Seems to me the back on 1 plate shows very fine crazing under certain light, but not all and it won't be noticed. All 4 have the same marks and same number in underglaze marks. Minton, one of the finest makers, crown mark designates the firm as makers to the King/Queen of England. High honors! No chips, no cracks, no hairlines, no stains. No utensil marks from use. Just elegance!
