Their most elegant cut, this is a set from c.1830s, shown in the reference catalogue page in that last photo (diamond cut crystal). The full sized liquor decanter and tall elegant goblet are offered together. Beg to be on your desktop, den table, bedside stand, don't they? Or mine! Very heavy cut crystal, so elegant and opulent. It's surprising to me that these don't have damage, but I don't even feel tiny nips on the tips of those diamond-facet cuts. I wish my photographer did a better job with light on glass and crystal. These pieces deserve better photos, truly. I'm going to have to give some lessons, aren't I. Yet you can clearly see the beauty. These are Louis-Philippe era, or slightly before. I believe it's the most beautiful of all the old Baccarat glass, so intricately hand cut. I have a collection of my own I'll be beginning to offer and disburse. Look for them all sold in sets, same pattern. Measurements noted on the photos. THIS is the largest decanter, largest goblet I have. Quite rare!
Very good to excellent condition. No chips, no cracks. The neck is brilliant dore bronze with glass stopper. Numbered on bottom, and fully covered in rich gold enamel. No chips even on the stopper. If you run fingertips around on these pieces, you might find a couple of minuscule nips to the tips of the diamond cut facts, but they'd be only to feel, not see. Starburst base, displayed on a mirror tray, and the whole thing just glows. The decanter is 10.5" tall. Other measurements noted on the photos for your review. I'm going to be sorry I gave up this set, aren't I. it's taken me a couple decades to amass a collection of them! In this offering, just the 10.5" tall decanter and a single extra large goblet.
