Tiniest glass beads ever, each no more than 1mm in size, and beautifully preserved in this hand made large purse. The unusual creamy caramel color is very appealing, as is the repeat pattern in greens, orange-red, silver, gold. The interior lining and string ties and crocheted top loops are all original to this bag and are also inside but is detached in some parts, and is in good to poor condition. I've owned this bag for 20-30 years, stored flat and in archival tissue. Will be putting all of my purses in shop now. Come back to view more over weeks ahead. I purchased this and most others in France through the years as I've been out buying antiques. Just too pretty to leave behind. I'm unsure where it was crafted.

Very good to excellent condition for age and type, I can't find a single glass bead missing other than 2 strands of the fringe along bottom. Hand loomed, it does not have sewn seams at the sides. The interior lining is brown silk satin, heavy gauge, which repeats the colors of the bag. The lining is loose from the top and seems to only go about half-way the depth of the purse. I'm sure you'll want to replace it if you intent to use this old beauty. The micro-bead bags have always been my favorites - imagine the time invested in each one - beautiful old treasures, each.
