The large back panel from a Victorian era slipper chair (see final image), this glorious glass beadwork and blue wool yarn panel is in very nice condition and would work up into a stunning throw pillow. Dating c.1840-60s, it survives very well. Images show it nicely and give measurements so you can plan the project. Certainly also possible to turn the selvedge edge of unworked linen canvas under, it would be gorgeous in a frame for display as art.
Very good to excellent condition for age and type, it's normally the chair seat panels that suffer damage from the pressure of sitting on them, but the chair back normally can survive very well. The variations of glass beads are beautifully shaded. Beadwork panels have a weight to them. This one is supple enough to use in a decorative throw pillow. When made up, these rise to $1500-2000 in value and are easily sold. I just don't have (yet) the time to sew. I envision this against creamy matte silk in off-white or even black velvet, finished with lush fringe to draw the colors. Such a temptation!
