With the most delicately worked French Chantilly lace leaf, not a rip or tear or even a tiny hole to be found - mounted on an opulent chocolate to cognac mottled monture, 29 cm guards, and undamaged slender ribs. This fan, 120 or so years old, presents in as fine a condition as any we've owned through the years. From my own collections, photos show it well. Full measurements noted on the photos.
Very good to excellent condition throughout. Displays so beautifully - you can see the very fine work on the handmade lace, made specifically for this fan. There are no breaks in the tortoise shell monture, Opens fully. No deterioration to the upper scallops of the lace, either and no tears or frays at folds. A thing of real beauty!
