He's been one of my favorites for decades, this pale blond handsome gentleman with his pale gray eyes. The peach overtones of the painting almost feel like a monotone, but those piercing gray eyes belie it. He is just a handsome and quite colorless man in his time. In spite of it being a superb painting, the artist has not signed it. I've opened it and there is nothing to give us the ID of this distinguished your man, either.
Very good to excellent condition for age and type. There is a very slight lift of the wafer from the card which backs it, and it lies very flat and beautiful in the old original oval frame, under convex cover glass. Measurements are noted on the photos.
