Recently acquired an entire collection of fine early to mid-1800s cigar cases and we’ll list each one separately for sale. Look for them all, though. The entire collection is just fabulous! From hand embroidered ones to one favorite of mine with hand carved antler stag on front, to a splendid old shagreen case, to a host of others that would be wonderful gift ideas along with a tin of Davidoff cigars (or other) for your favorite friends who enjoy one now and then. I’ll be brief in describing each one, but they’ve come to us out of Paris and from the estate of a noted (and titled) collector who chose to remain anonymous. Wish we could disclose.   This one is a great one for the protecting the cigars as it is a rather solid outer case, the expanding by baffles are a bit stuck but the depth is great for holding about three cigars on each side. The leather is a fine quality and remains completely intact with just a few small surface marks. It is beautifully hand worked beadwork inset surrounded by a gold-embossed frame line. The interior is fabric lined with leather pocket fronts and in very nice condition for age. Great for cigars or suitable to use as a small evening purse (I used to use these in that way, mostly the ones in tortoise shell with pique work - stunning old things), or also perfect for a gentleman’s cigars.

Good to very good condition for age and type. Some light bends or dents to the metal on the top front and it appears to be missing a clasp. A few missing beads but in overall great shape. A fine decorative accent, group and display. Measurements noted on the photos.
