Fine antique French Louis Philippe to Napoleon III era 22 3/4" tall folding bible, book or sheet music stand with ornate pierced or reticulated scroll cut decoration including fleur-de-lys and large interlaced Marie Antoinette monogram! In from France a little bit ago and I was a bit surprised by the large size. The main panel is 22.75" tall and the piece stands 15.5" tall when holding a text, etc. Made of two panels with a wooden hinge incorporated into each so it folds flat when not in use. We'd guess the move dates are close but it could be older. Great to display an antique or heirloom family bible, old text, sheet music or even a cook book in the kitchen.
Very good condition, age considered. There are a few chips and one or two spots with glue repairs but it appears as solid and stable as can be. See pictures for all measurements.
