Gorgeous antique French hallmarked sterling silver 12pc fruit or dessert knife & fork set, a two piece setting for six with solid shimmering mother of pearl handles and all in fabulous condition. A set for a smaller gathering but aren't they beautiful! Mother of pearl handles have always been one of my favorites, something about the coolness and weight in the hand...not to mention the beauty and elegance of course. Most marked with the French Minerve or Minerva hallmark, the tiny number "1" within those marks designate them as being in .950 silver (95% pure so above the .925 standard for "sterling" silver). The silversmith marks are possibly/likely for Joseph Mondinelli, Paris circa 1903-1908. Gorgeous, don't miss them!
Excellent condition. No chips, cracks or repairs to the solid pearl handles and only slight scuffs to the sterling, indicative of light use. See pictures for all weights and measurements.
