On the top end, 4 hanging rings are attached, and the large panel is also lined nicely and finished well (it is rectangular, my photos seem slightly distorted). A richly colored Napoleon III (c.1850-70) panel that begs to be reworked into 2 large and lushly trimmed with fringe and perhaps side panels and back in complimenting color velvet. Full measurements noted on the photos. You could make 2 pillows with panels 18" tall and 13.5" wide (wider if you add panels to the side of the needlepoint. It's a good size to make up as a top for a bench, also. Lots to work with!
Very good to excellent condition. Beautifully crafted, and in remarkably find condition, the panel is strong and supple and is without flaws or lost stitches, or even fading. Panel is clean and has no odor. Wool perhaps some silk yarns.
