Someone just emailed to ask if I have any antique buttons. And in fact, I do. A few quick clicked photos and here they are. They're really quite stunning, formal. Tempting to make them over into jewelry with those pearls so nicely haloed around the blown glass cabochons. The pearls look for all the world like they're real, and they have no flaking to the surface like the faux pearls usually do. They're 4mm in diameter and beautifully matched to color. They are mounted with pins, if you can see it on the photos of the backs of these. I have not cleaned them. The metal could be silver that is tarnished. Out buying antiques, once in a while a set of buttons just tempts me. I can see 2 - 4 pairs of magnificent cufflinks made easily of the 8 buttons, all in fine form. Or earrings and 6 left for a necklace or bracelet. They're good sized, 7/8" diameter.

Very good to excellent condition, though I have not cleaned the metal backing. I suspect it is silver. They're really fine quality. I am not a button collector nor expert. If you know more about this superb set, or who maker might have been, please do email. Thank you.
