Gorgeous antique French sterling silver 9pc hors d'oeuvre & serving utensil set with ornate guilloche style machined or engraved decoration and in the original black leather storage and/or presentation box!  A beautiful set, the handle patterns accented with acanthus leaves, the bowls and blades on several with ornate scrolled tendrils and foliage.  Bow & ribbon topped oval medallions with interlaced "GG" monograms that match the gold embossed "G.G." on the box iid.  Just in from France, missing a few original pieces but the ones that remain are wonderful!  All bear the French Minerve or Minerva hallmark, the tiny number "1" within those marks means they're in .950 silver (95% pure and above the .925 standard for "sterling" silver).  The silversmith marks are for Philippe Berthier, Paris circa 1841-1851  Be sure to browse some while you're with us. We have one of the finest extensive offerings of antique French and European silver and are sure to tempt. Thanks!

Very good to excellent condition.  As noted above, there are a few missing pieces, notably the salad serving pair and the tiny salt spoons that would have been held in the front left corner.  The very tip of the pele a tarte has a slight upward bend but I'm sure we could get it back flat before shipping.  The box is also in great shape, as you can see.  See pictures for all individual weights and measurements.
