These are RARE! They date as early as latest 1600s to as late as perhaps 1770, and are individually formed French-made vials, used then for the scented oils and perfumes that would be used to add a few drops to a vinaigrette or necklace with locket holding a small bit of wool, in order to provide the wearer a ready and lovely perfume to hold to the nose as one passed through the crowds. The early French perfumers' flasks like these would have had cork stoppers, storing the scent/liquid as a letdown so it would swell the cork and hold it tightly in place, not losing a bit of the precious concoction within. Set of all 5, gilded perfume flasks are one offering. I see them in Paris shops and markets for 300 euro range each. Once in a while I've been able to find one for less and have bought them. All 5 stay together. Measurements vary and are noted on the photos.

Very good to excellent, all 5. I've collected these over many years. Selling them as a collection since they rather belong together in display. Each is without damage. The old corks are not with them, but new corks can be used if you intend to use these. Measurements noted on the photos.
