The last of my Antique French minaudière - this one is complete and still with its structured black suede scabbard to use as a purse. The 'minaudière' is actually a travel makeup necessaire as you can see. Interior compartments for powder, lipstick, a comb (included) and a conpartment for coins or other needs. Used as an evening bag, it's fun and flapper-ish. Beautiful old mottled tortoise shell, the old mirror still inside. Full measurements noted on the photos.
Very good to excellent condition for age and type, this one is one you'll actually want to wear/use. From my own collection of a long lifetime, it's been stored in archival bag and is gorgeous. Rare to find with both scabbard and comb, this one also has an ostrich down powder puff and powder still inside. I love the orange puff so have left it like it is. The clasp is finicky but works and holds tightly. Took me a minute to open it. There are no breaks or chips and no bug bites. There are a couple of small thin hairlines on the steam-moulded corners but age rather than accident and are stable and small. No warp, just a charming (and more and more rare) antique purse every collection really must have!
