Recently acquired an entire collection of fine early to mid-1800s cigar cases and we’ll list each one separately for sale. Look for them all, though. The entire collection is just fabulous! From hand embroidered ones to one favorite of mine with hand carved antler stag on front, to a splendid old shagreen case, to a host of others that would be wonderful gift ideas along with a tin of Davidoff cigars (or other) for your favorite friends who enjoy one now and then. I’ll be brief in describing each one, but they’ve come to us out of Paris and from the estate of a noted (and titled) collector who chose to remain anonymous. Wish we could disclose.   An interesting smaller case here hand stitched exterior decoration, original interior lining & fittings with framed photo, and 1880 "Souvenir" handwritten date. The writing under the photo has a clear date of 1880, sorry that the photos don't show it very well or at all. The other writing is "Souvenir a" but I can't quite make out the rest.

Good condition for age and type. Refer to our photos, please. It has a silk or satin fabric lining, the baffle on the left side over the photo has a tear to the left side. Some age to it just from the years and the materials. Clasp and hinges working fine. Side baffles will expand the depth of the case just a bit to hold smaller cheroots or cigarettes and matches, or to hold your spectacles, a credit card and house key so you could use it as an evening clutch should you wish to. I used to use these in that way for after-hours social events when i worked for Paramount, Inc, and it was the easiest way ever to open conversations, make new contacts. Always an item someone would ask about. Some exterior age and wear visible. See pictures for measurements.
