Very intricate inlay, we tested it twice and it registered 12k once and 14k gold the second time. As beautiful as can be! Damascening is the art of inlaying different metals into one another—typically, gold or silver into a darkly oxidized steel background—to produce intricate patterns similar to niello. The English term comes from a perceived resemblance to the rich tapestry patterns of damask silk. Truly remarkable, both the process and end result as you can see here. A work of art!
