The fur is just exquisite, lush, supple and like new. Thick beautiful pelts nicely matched and worked dark brown mink. Stunning when worn, it's probably a 'go to' for casual wear but elegant for formal wear, too. Huge collar worn up or down changes the look. I would guesstimate it was made in 1960s and I've owned it 15 or more years. I'm not much into wearing furs, but I've accumulated some I've worn maybe once or twice. The bolero style, waist length jacket has elbow length belled sleeves.  When I found it it was a perfect fit. I'm 5'8" tall, then a 6-10 size range depending upon designer. I think the jacket, which is beautifully tailored and has a hand-quilted silk lining and embroidered "Audrey Powell", would be a size 8-10, or Medium. There is a 6" overlap front with 1 fur-covered button to the top. That 10" tall shawl of a collar gives you ways to change the entire look of the jacket. It's nearly large enough to be a hood, and makes this one my favorite mink in my collection.  It is a rich dark chocolate brown with highlights as you can see - beautiful fur! Please go by the measurements which are as follows:

15" sleeve, measured from shoulder curve (raglan but with notable shoulder. Elbow length, bell sleeves are 17" diameter at hem, so it looks a bit like a cape when worn.

26" long, back neck seam to hem

18" shoulder, (not a shoulder seam, but shoulder is formed in raglan sleeve style)

10" collar at back, turns up beautifully or lies flat (shown both ways)

22" armpit to armpit, with 6" overlap double-breasted (can be larger in body by moving the eye for the hook closure - simple.

46" circumference at hem.

Slit pockets both sides, mid-way between side seam and front.

Very good to excellent for age and type, beautifully crafted. I'm certain it was a very pricey one, it's very NYC. Silk satin lining is in fine form, monogram "Jean W" embroidered. The furrier tag is "De'Cor furs, Inc by Morgenstein-Hammer, New York" which carries a premium even now. There are no odors, no stains, A dot or two with a few mink hairs lost, perhaps, but no holes nor bare spots anywhere. The large lapel collar turns up and is just stunning. The jacket is loose around waist or when buttoned, snugs the body. I love this one with collar up, and it's gorgeous with beautifully tailored wool slacks or with jeans, either way. Could certainly dress up to formal or evening. Has been preserved perfectly. No losses.
