Convex cover glass has protected the painting perfectly, and the box is beautifully crafted, appears to have been displayed or cased and never used for snuff, or possibly powder in this larger size. Very slightest minuscule chips, more an occasional rough spot on the sharp rims in the scalloped box, but nothing that rises to a 'chip'.
