An extra long and strong muff chain, Edwardian era. The 9k gold chain links are solid and it's a strong chain, typically used with a muff, in fashion then. A lighter or higher gold content chain would break more easily while this is sturdy. Also beautiful in wear, it looks fabulous with the antique lorgnette I've worn it with, or my 14k gold jewelry loupe I wore with it when I'd go antique buying, using it to check silver and jewelry marks (loupe has been sold), or collection of rings - anything. Very good to excellent, in my collection for decades, not worn often. Looks like 14k, bright brilliant gold, no faulty or dented links, tight clasp. Very light surface rubs, if any, consistent with age, but not really noticed without great enlargement as in our photos. Melt as of listing 4.17.2026: $1253.
