Artist signed and dated, toward the end of the Napoleon era, 1813, the artist is "Lefebure". The young man's portrait might be one done for his sweetheart or betrothed, and has hair art under glass on the backside, which is unusual in this type of frame but less so in locket or jewelry frames of the time. The tossed hairstyle of the Napoleonic era, he begins to have the longer sideburns which would have been quite avant-garde and youthful fashion. Convex cover glass has protected the painting perfectly for over 200 years, and the perfectly arranged hair art monogram on back is shown under a flat glass. All measurements are noted on the photos.

Very good to excellent condition throughout, obviously a family treasure through centuries. Painted in gouache on thin wafer, typical genre, there are no disruptions at all on the painting, no chips and no cracks, no hairlines or disruptions to paint. We do not know his name or history.
