FABulous 19th century French raised gold enamel decorated covered serving bowl for fruit, dessert or punch. French made, probably either Baccarat, St. Louis or Legras. Elaborate hand painted thick impasto gold enamel on each piece. Lidded serving bowl on raised stem has its original lid which is made to accommodate the punch ladle that goes with it. This one includes ONLY the punch bowl, lid, ladle. It does not have any of the stemware with it and is to be considered a serving piece you might use with your own china cups, or perhaps to add to your vitrine display of antique French glass. Pink - just pops with color and light. These sets are fruit service sets in France, and date from mid-1800s to late-1800s. When we initially listed this set, we had only 3 cups, but recently bought a 2nd set and used the cups to fill out a full formal set and offer it complete with all 8 matching stems, the punch bowl, the ladle and the matching original under tray. THIS ONE IS A SINGLE BOWL, LID, LADLE, and has NO STEMWARE. Measurements are noted on the photos. Price adjusted, as well. We have listed 2nd matching punch bowl and ladle with 8 stems as a separate offering, just in case you want 2 (sold separately). Our final photo shows it surrounded by stemware from the other set, and that stemware does not go with this bowl/ladle set. Sorry.
Very good to excellent condition, no chips nor cracks and no hairlines at all. The pieces you see included here are all in fine form. We'll pack with great care to make sure it arrives to you in the same fine condition. Isn't it just the prettiest!
