Elegant antique French Belle Epoque era sterling silver "ecuelle" or legumier, a single serving dish or bowl in wonderful condition with Louis XV style side handles and wonderful condition! A very alluring and unique piece, the bowl itself has a 4.5" diameter and is 7 1/8" wide with the handles. The French Minerve or Minerva hallmark on the side of the bowl, the tiny number "1" within that mark designates .950 silver content (95% pure silver and higher than the .925 standard for sterling silver). The silversmith mark is for Edmond Molle, Paris circa 1898-1911. A wonderful piece, simple enough to fit into an existing fine silver service but unique enough to stand out and attract compliments! Perfect to spoil yourself with yogurt in the morning or, perhaps, sorbet, ice cream or other desserts in the evening.
Very good condition. A small dimple or two possible but no larger dents, damage or repairs to note. They don't come much finer! See pictures for measurements.
