Rare to find, both the set of 12 individual place setting chop gigot (handle to hold the bone of lamb or pork chop) still in their original box. Over the 3 decades we've been dealing antiques, we've only had about 5 or 6 full sets of these fabulous table flatware specialty items. Minerve #1 punch on each handle, the Art Nouveau pattern handles are finest .950/1000 pure silver, highest sterling silver grade in the world. The gigot is not sterling, but is metal which is silver plated (typical). The original fitted presentation box remains with the set, though it shows warp in form. Still, a fitting storage box which has kept the set in excellent form. RARE Art Nouveau pattern as only the French can accomplish so beautifully in silver. Full measurements noted on the photos.

The 12 specialty flatware implements/utensils are each very good to excellent, beautifully preserved for about 120-110 years. I can't read the silversmith's tiny poincon but it does appear in punch on each handle up near the joint of the gigot to handle, as does the Minerve #1 on opposite side there at that top of handles. The box, as noted, is oddly warped so it does not sit flat. But it will latch and is very clean inside for age, a very adequate storage box fitted for the set. Wood with papered cover and embossed gold trim decor. Fabulous rare set!
