Elegant antique to vintage French sterling silver & cut crystal or glass 6pc vanity set including covered jars & perfume or cologne bottles with ornate large interlaced monograms and wonderful condition! One of a few sets of matching antique to vintage French sterling topped vanity sets that Iâve recently been working on, getting ready for listing so, if youâre looking for a few pieces to display in a guest or master bath, be sure to browse a little while youâre with us. They really do add a touch of elegance, displayed on an old silver tray or even just by themselves, grouped near the sink perhaps. This set consisting of two perfume or cologne bottles, a long slender toothbrush jar and three smaller jars in varying sizes. I canât quite tell but the monograms are some combination of "DRL" I believe. The silver portions all bear the French Minerve or Minerva hallmark, the tiny number "1" within those marks means theyâre all in .950 silver (95% pure and higher than the .925 standard for "sterling" silver). The silversmith marks are for Victor Lauer, Paris circa 1902-1937. Lovely!
Very good condition. A few tiny nips to the glass but no larger chips, cracks or damage. The stoppers each have tiny nips to the inside tips. Some surface scuffing to the silver and possibly a tiny dimple or two but no larger dents, damage or repairs to note. See pictures for all measurements.
