A perfect trio of Victorian era Grand Tour souvenir micro mosaic plaques, Roman ruins, ready to be made up into earrings or perhaps cufflinks, worked into a necklace along with others, you can be the designer. Long ago I bid out on several lots from a Paris jeweler, generations of goldsmiths closing the family's heritage business down. These were among their stock of unmounted plaques, acquired some 5-6 or more generations earlier and never mounted. I'm selling the micro mosaics off bit by bit. This offering is for these 2 matching ovals. Measurements noted on the photos.
Very good to excellent, never mounted, nothing to report by way of flaws but a residue of age on back, and paper from the original card to which they were affixed. These are Victorian buttons, actually. These date c.1850-70. Oh, I see these didn't get measured. I'll pull them out and annotate listing, but they're approximately 5/8-3/4" diameter.
