Fine antique American hallmarked vermeil 14-18k gold on sterling silver bowl, condiments or caviar serving piece with matching under tray or plate, 50th wedding anniversary inscription and wonderful visual appeal! We'll leave the uses up to the new owner but I'm sure they're infinite really, only limited by your imagination. Have a glass dish of caviar floating on chipped ice in the bowl perhaps. Bonbons or small candies, dinner mints? Heck, it would even make for the best bowl of oatmeal you've ever woken up to. Both plate and bowl bear the American silversmith hallmark for Lebkuecher & Co., Newark circa 1845-1909. Richly gilded in what is most likely 18k gold as was the norm but possibly 14k (we've not tested it) and, as you can see, both are virtually dripping gold and in superb condition. The engraved inscriptions on the bottom of both bowl and plate read "Mary and Michael Dunn, 1854-1904". One of several decadent antique vermeil pieces & sets that we currently have available so, be sure to take a look at the others while you're with us. They make fabulous decorative accents in addition to elegant serving pieces!
Excellent condition. Just as you see them, no dents or damage to note. Some faint surface marks but no deeper scratches, dents or flaws. See pictures for individual weight and measurements.
