She'd have adopted this one, quite certain. Curly glass tesserae are their own special kind of wonderful, and even with imperfections, are highly sought after. Jamie's gone, and so is my friend, Jeanette Henisee Gabriel, whose beautiful book \"Micromosaics\" is one of my favorites. She also did the masterpiece on the Gilbert Collection - but I digress. A reverent moment for my 2 friends. This happens in a long career. Sigh. I digress. The superbly crafted mosaic is one for the tourist trade rather than the museum collector level, and is set in 18k gold as a brooch. Beautiful to display or to wear, and affordable for its light flaws. Full measurements noted on photos. Period brooch box is included, as shown. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eGood to very good condition for age and type. Glass basin has 3 tight fine flat hairlines which one has to angle to light in order to see (see images), but from the back side, one can tell a resin restoration has been done at some point in time so no further slip would occur. Normally I don't buy a micro mosaic that has a flaw, but the curly tesserae spaniels are rather rare and worthy of love even if slightly imperfect. The 18k gold mount has a pin back that is not 18k (see images) but brooch c-clamp has a gold mark which is unreadable by my camera, yet the gold does test at 18k.
