Fabulous antique Victorian to early Edwardian era French Black Forest style hand carved 20 5/8" x 12 3/8" serving tray with marvelously detailed wheat stalks, floral & foliate decoration and charming equestrian themed horseshoe handles! Signed also on the left side, the signature appears to read "Marbois". I'm not entirely sure of the wood, possibly teak though I'm not certain. Exquisite carving throughout and I see only a few tiny chips, no warping and no cracks to note. Perfect for use or as a wall hung decorative accent. One you'll cherish! Stunning and as pristine as one could hope for!
Excellent condition. As noted, I only see two or three small chips to leaf or tendril tips. No warping, no cracks, damage or repairs to note. See pictures for all measurements.
