Fine vintage French hallmarked sterling silver & faceted cut glass 5 1/4” tall sugar shaker or sifter with Classical style fluting and crossed ribbon decoration and wonderful condition! Another recent find just in from France. One of those things that you don't really thing of when setting the table but it's all in the details, right. I’d thought I’d use it back at home when making crepes, trying to relive the memories of our recent trip over to Paris, etc. The silver has the French Minerve or Minerva hallmark, the obscured tiny number “1” within that mark means it’s in .950 silver (95% pure so above the .925 standard for “sterling” silver). The silversmith mark is for Charles Tirbour, Paris circa 1897-1951. An opulent addition to your fine dining service, use for powdered sugar when serving your own crepes, fresh fruit or whatever. It’s the details that matter, right!
Very good to excellent condition. Possible a tiny nip or two to the base but no larger chips, no dents, damage or repairs to note. See pictures for all measurements.
