Gorgeous antique French sterling silver flatware set, a 3pc place setting for one with highly ornate or intricate pattern including swans and cherub, putti or nymph figures, vines & foliage accented handles, "Andre" inscriptions, mother of pearl handled Cardeilhac knife and all as visually impressive as can be! We're adding a few single and double place settings this week. Eating alone? With all of this quarantine and uncertainty going on, we thought spoiling ourselves in our solitude might be warranted. A gorgeous set here, entremet or luncheon sized pieces and sure to impress! The forks & spoon bear the 1819-1838 French Michel-Ange or Michelangelo hallmark. Silversmith marks on the forks & spoon appear to be for Charles-Salomon Mahler, Paris circa 1820s and the mark on the knife blade for Maison Cardeilhac, a highly reputable French silversmith. Spoil yourself!
Very good condition. There is an old silver solder repair to the stem of the fork handle but it's solid and perfect for use. Surface scuffing, etc. visible. As noted, the knife is not a perfect match for the other pieces but a wonderful compliment to them. See pictures for weights and measurements.
