Such a pretty old thing! Large 32cm guard sticks, opening to a full 57cm, this hand painted silk satin leafed fan (front and back) is a display beauty with a little imperfection along that fold of silk. The carved bone monture is in excellent condition - perhaps one you'd restore or even one to use with handmade lace or a hand painted leaf of your choosing or make. C.1850-70, Napoleon III era.
Good to very good condition, with the notable flaw to the fold of silk satin on fan's front side. A little foxing to the pink silk satin back leaf. I find no damage at all to the carved bone monture. Measurements are noted above.
