Dining for 2, a small bud vase at each place setting with just a few small blossoms - what could be more French? This pair remains a testimonial to the 19th c. French way of life; beauty in everything. Mounts of the bee on each, they bring forth visions of Napoleon's era, though I think they are Second Empire, c.1850-70s, reign of Napoleon III (Louis-Napoleon, nephew of Napoleon Bonaparte). Paw feet, very heavy in hand with marble bulbs. Not a single flaw to note, and they still have their original mouth-blown glass flutes. I love the little extra touches like these, don't you?

Very good to excellent condition, not even a nip to rims on those blown-glass flutes. It's rare to find these still as a pair, still in original state with bud flutes. They're a bit petit, or some would say they're candlesticks. I suppose you could use then that way, carving down the base of tapers to fit the neck. Photos show them from all angles. The single issue to bring attention to is actually a natural flaw in the carved marble rounds upon which the 2 bees are mounted. I have done so with an "x". Full measurements noted on our photos.
