Raised gold enamel accents on the hand painted gold border decoration and a lovely Art Nouveau feel to the decoration, this set of fine KPM Berlin dinner plates is only short on one thing: it's shy one plate of being a table for 12. Still, gather 10 of your favorite friends for a truly elegant table this Holiday Season, and keep the 11th as a spare, just in case. Every plate is maker marked as you see in our images. Each is a rather deep dinner plate (one could almost use them for soup, certainly for goulash or sauce/gravy meals without worry of the sauces rimming the edge. The gold rim and heavily enameled gold border are simple and elegant, and will layer beautifully with many other sets of antique plates to give you great versatility as a host or hostess. Heavy fine KPM china, not a flaw to note, and so beautiful. These are 9.5" plates, very slightly smaller than dinner or chargers, but set perfectly as dinner plates and will encourage those slightly smaller portions we all are making resolutions about, right?

Very good to excellent, I see nothing to detract from either your enjoyment or the future value of these investment quality antique plates. Over 100 years old and looking fabulous! No utensil marks or crazing, they appear to have been stored rather than used. And a bargain owing to that 12th plate no longer with the set (sets of 12 bring a premium). I personally prefer a table of 10 or fewer, anyway - nicer intimate group that way!
