I've had these for 20 years or more, and kept the set pristine. Found long ago in Paris, the set is c.1910, Art Deco, and jeweler-crafted with 18k mounts and garnet, I believe. I have never had the facet-cut stones tested. Also have never worn the set. The pierced backing is 18k gold, and one post is missing the guard - part of why I never wore them, I suppose. The ring is too large for me and I wear a 6, so perhaps a 7 to 8 US sizing. The earrings are an overlay carved double square, 1" or so, beveled beautifully and without damage. Time to let my old treasures go.
Very good to excellent condition for age and type. Noted above, one earring post is missing the anchor or back. One can order those online. As noted, I do not remember if I bought these as garnet settings or as Ruby. I will say garnet because I don't have access for testing the stones. No chips, no hairlines, no damage at all to report. A hundred to 120 years old, must have been someone's souvenir, kept but treasured. The box shown is a photo prop and is not included with the 3-pc jewelry set.
