Gorgeous antique French c. 1850-70 Napoleon III era Empire Revival style 5pc tete-a-tete or solitaire sized partial tea or coffee set including 15.25" tray, cramer, covered sugar & two saucers, all with hand painted decoration with swan figures and gold enamel accenting! The pieces all have a marking that appears to read "Elle, Paris" in gold paint/enamel, somewhat like a signature but I've not been able to find any reference. It’s possible they're a retailer’s mark or that of a later decorator. A beautiful set, colorful and the swan motif sure to appeal to the French Empire collectors and/or enthusiasts. A partial set, it surely had two cups to go with the saucers and probably a tea and/or coffee pot. The remaining pieces as near pristine as one could hope for though. Priced to move so, don't miss this elegant ensemble.
Very good condition. There is a small chip to the rim of the covered sugar, visible in the images. Some slight wear to the gold enamel in areas. See pictures for all measurements.
