An exceptionally nice painting, c.1830s French fashion and hair, she wears the skinny fur boa or shawl, scarf popular in her time. Very pretty face, we can only guess her era and that she was among the Noble or fortunate wealthier classes of France. No ID and no signature. There is the remainder of a wax seal on back, but not enough to make out the seal's history. Full measurements are noted on the photos.
Very good to excellent condition for age and type. Nicely preserved and in a fine quality period French frame, its only flaw is that the original old convex cover glass has some light imperfections to the outer rims, left and right of the figure. Sometimes happens with early glass. It does not impact the view of the miniature as it's to outer borders and not at top and bottom. The camera's lighting catches it more than normal light so you have view of ti in worst possible view. It's not much noticeable in person.
