Clearing out collections of a lifetime, this is a pair of antique Fortuny silk cut velvet panels I'd bought to make up into pillow ages ago, and they're still stored. Deep loden green and gold and a floral bouquet with swags and tassels. A matching pair, would be just gorgeous made up as bed pillows. They had each been backed with a support panel of linen, which you can see in the photos. Each panel is approximately 17" x 14", ready to make up.
Very good condition for age and type, 19th century Italian Fortuny velvets, rare to find! They're 100% silk, a little age showing upper left on one (slight threading) but for the most part, just really gorgeous old rare fabrics. Just needing a collector or designer to make them up. An upholsterer in your area will also make these up for you, and likely help you with lush fringes and trims. A project, but also fun!
