Perfect for your own bedside or that of your guest, the 2-piece tumble-up (bonne nuit, or "good night") decanter and tumbler are both in superb condition as you see them, though originally they would also have had a matching under-plate or saucer to go along. The 2 most important pieces remain, however, and will be fun to use for your own nighttime water service. The glass or tumbler (timbale in French), acts as a cover for the water decanter, upside down and made to rest as you see in our images. Clean, undamaged, it's one you'll love to have.
Very good to excellent condition for age and type. Would have had an under-tray or saucer originally, but the 2 pieces you see here are without any chips or cracks, no flaws to note apart from perhaps a little loss to the charming old enamel work. Generous in size, it is over 9" tall with the tumbler in place up top. Beautiful French or Celeste (Sevres) blue, too.
