Elegant & rare antique French Napoleon III to Belle Epoque era Baccarat or St Louis Likely intaglio etched & gold enameled 7 5/8" tall flower frog style vase, Empire aesthetics with superb detail and wonderful condition! Quite unique, we've had fabulous old French Empire style vases with the gilt bronze or ormolu casings, flower frogs of course but this one combines all aspects in such a beautiful way! The gilt ormolu or bronze lid with the typical flower frog partitions and interior fixture, the exterior rim with bows, ribbons and draped floral garland. The glass about as stunning as they come with engraved and then gold enamel filled decoration. Fantastic, a rare and surely one of a kind treasure!
Very good to excellent condition. I see no chips, cracks or damage to the glass, no notable flaws to the ormolu lid piece. Possibly a tiny nip or two to the glass rim or base but no larger chips. See images for all measurements.
