Another pair of antique 18th century Aubusson tapestry panels, salvaged from the backs of a large set of chairs from some chateau or palace, these are always fabulous to make up into lushly fringed down-filled decorator throw pillows. I used to find them while out buying antiques for the shop, and always bought with intention of making them up to sell through our store. And I am finally ready to admit I'm never going to make up the hundreds of elegant pillows so am offering the collections to you who will. A pair of 18th century Aubusson panels, outer color is a bit faded from the green original spun and dyed wool yarns, to a charming pastel palette. French Romantic era figures, a boy and girl, in nature and surrounded in floral wreath. This pair has already had any necessary backing and restoration done (see photos of lined and worked back) and are strong and ready to be incorporated into your own decorator pillows. Very good condition for age and type. As noted, someone has backed these with a canvas and has done tons of handwork 'restoration' to strengthen and restore them for use. Could be again used for chair backs, but the prime use would be to make up as throw pillows. Made up, these would double-triple value. I've made many, sold lots, and they range from $1k to $5k per pillow - always a ready market. Photos show all.
