Very good to excellent for age and type. Large, deep bas relief hand carved panel does not have a single chip in all that carved surface. I believe it is oak from the grain. Looking along the bottom, you can see 2 age, shrinkage hairlines which extend nearly to the heads of the 2 dolphin carvings, and 1 from the upper rim, left of center. These might well just be joints to the panel, though from backside, it seems one solid slab rather than joined boards. One can see the panel was built into an outer frame at one time, a narrow edge line visible from varnish.
