Wonderful antique American Jenkins & Jenkins sterling silver 6 1/4" square tray, jewelry dish, coaster or inkwell stand with ornate raised floral "Repousse" bas relief decoration, From a quick online search, this pattern appears to be referred to as "Repousse", the line includes pitchers, tea & coffee pots and more. This one a smaller tray and the use is really only limited by your imagination. We've had inkwells with base trays like this but the large monogram sort of rules that out. The silversmith marks are for Jenkins & Jenkins, Baltimore, MA circa 1908-1915. Perfect as a decorative accent or coaster style tray for a liqueur decanter perhaps? Gorgeous!
Very good condition. Thick & heavy silver, I see not damage to note. The tray measures 6.25" square and weighs 5 troy ounces or 156 grams.
