Rare antique to vintage French sterling silver & glass citrus juicer in thick shaped pressed glass with elegant hallmarked sterling silver handle ! We don't find these all that often! Yes, one can easily find an antique or vintage juicer but with French sterling silver, not really ;). This one in fabulous condition, too. Perfect for use of course but also great as an elegant old French decorative piece, placed within your fine service. A fabulous accessory for fish dinners, set the table with your finest and have this, half a lemon for a spritz of juice at meal time. The handle bears the post-1838 French Minerve or Minerva hallmark, the tiny number "1" within that mark means it's in .950 silver (95% pure so higher than the .925 standard for "sterling" silver). I don't see a silversmith mark, not uncommon on smaller pieces though it may be there and I've just missed it. Not having a silversmith makes it impossible for me to narrow down the maker or date of creation. A lovely piece, don't miss it.
