Fabulous antique Victorian to early Edwardian era thick genuine leather 13.25" ammunition case, briefcase with partitioned interior, "LB" monogram and wonderful condition! This one just in from France and what an interesting piece. I was told it's actually a hunter or shooter's ammunition case though the way you choose to use it is really only limited by your imagination. The interior with four compartments, each has a long strip of leather extending from the rear and looped into slots at the front. Thick & heavy old leather, the piece weighs 4 lbs, 12oz. Straps and original nickel plated clasp, just missing the key unfortunately but I'll check our spares to see if one works the lock. Great as a decorative accent or, use it as a classy travel case.
Very good condition. Some surface marks on the leather but, as you can see, this one is really as near pristine as could be hoped for. No missing stitching, no separations. Just missing the key to the lock. See pictures for all measurements.
