Lacking only the tiny stopper, this excellent c.1870-1900 French teardrop perfume flask remains perfectly in its original domed presentation case, not a flaw to note other than stopper. Tiny French boar's head profile is the guarantee for .800/1000 silver, slightly less than sterling, and as you can see, a generous layering of 18k gold on the silver, 'vermeil' as it's known in France. Hinge and clasp of lid working perfectly, as is it with the case. A really elegant one for the fussiest of collectors - nicest box ever! Full measurements noted on the photos.
Very good to excellent condition throughout, mention of the single flaw being a missing original stopper. For display, it's perfect. Box is remarkably unscathed for age, and I find no nicks on the beautifully faceted flacon, either. French elegance, Belle Epoch or slightly before.
