It is missing a few tools, based on my fairly vase knowledge of these 18th century vest pocket etui, it would have a pocket knife, a scissors, likely a stiletto.  The real plus is the etui itself, while I haven't tested to see if it has karat gold surface, I find no French silver punch marks or I'd say it's vermeil. Full measurements noted on the photos.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eVery good to excellent condition for the gold etui, and implements inside as they are. No breaks to the 2-leaf notepad. The ear wax spoon\/toothpick combo is bent, as shown. Pencil is not original and I suspect the crochet\/bodkin also is not original.
