VERY Country French, this one has a stripped finish so you see light wood, and a beautifully crafted scale version of an armoire. With the applied hardware, it can be hung as a wall cabinet (fun as spice cabinet in kitchen, or vanity cabinet in bath). It is likely either a Napoleon III era apprentice piece, or perhaps was originally made as doll furniture. Perfect for Bru or other antique dolls. The lock works and original key remains with it. Full measurements note don the photos.
Very good to excellent condition for age and type, around 150+ years old, it has a single wood shelf inside and a carved removable fronton across the top. Solid and nicely made, no breaks and no chips. The finish has the feel of having been stripped of a whitewash which is charming. I believe, if you wanted to, you could stain this one darker with a beautiful result, as well. Nicely trimmed out. Found in France.
