The painting is likely and beautiful, with faces being just 3/8" from chin to hairline. The original bronze bow top French frame holds it well with a card Matt. Full measurements noted on the photos.
Very good to excellent condition for age and type. Dates c.1860-80s, it is painted in gouache on a celluloid wafer, and the artist's signature does appear. A little surface disruption to the old painting of a playful group. Frame is also in fine form.
