A manche à gigot is a traditional French, often silver, tool used to securely hold the bone of a roast leg of lamb while carving, preventing burned fingers or messy hands. Developed around 1840, this functional, screw-tightened handle allows for elegant table-side carving, often featuring ornate designs.
Very good to excellent condition. I see no flaws. Some slight surface scuffing possible, indicative of age and some use but nothing to detract from the overall aesthetic appeal. The box also in great shape. See images for all measurements.
