Delightful antique French sterling silver 2" napkin ring, unique pierced or reticulated style with berries & foliage and medallion with interlaced "MF" or "FM" monogram! Quite unique in style and you can see a faint bit of remaining gold plating so it was, at one time, vermeil. It bears the French Minerve or Minerva hallmark, the tiny number "1" in the upper right corner stands for French 1st quality (.950 or 95% pure silver content). The silversmith mark is for Charles Murat, Paris circa 1897.
Yes, a single here and one of several superb antique and vintage sterling silver napkin rings that we're adding today (and in the weeks ahead) so be sure to browse our current offerings to build a collection fit for royalty :). These are great mixed & matched around your table, wonderful to find a set of twelve or more matching pieces but who could be so lucky. And, isn't it much neater if all are unique, each with a history...a story of its own!
Very good condition. Weighs a relatively heavy 41 grams and it's beautiful given its 100 or so years. Great condition as you can see from the images. Some surface scuffing possible, a bit of visible tarnish on the inside and slightly out of perfect round. See pictures for measurements.
